Cycle along the Han river to a beautiful parkEnjoy a picnic in the local style - with crispy Korean chickenRent bikes at Yeouido Hangang Park, a hub for fans of cycling in Seoul. These rental bikes are sturdy little commuters that get the job done. From here you can bike for hours in all directions along the Han. We recommend heading westward about 11km on the flat, paved bike path to the Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park for some nature and bird watching (2 hours round trip). After returning your bikes, do as the Koreans do and join the flocks of young people picnicking along the Han. Order chicken from Pelicana Chicken, a chain store very close to Yeouinaru Station (exit 1). The secret to Korean fried chicken’s maddeningly delicious crispiness is double-frying. Don’t forget to get some ice-cold beer from the convenience store located right in the park for the full “chi-mek” (chicken + mekju, or beer) experience. For an excellent sit-down fried chicken experience, walk 15 minutes from the Conrad to Obeunae Bbajin Dak (literally, “chicken from the oven.”) From Yeouido Hangang Park, take the Hangang River cycling trail west to head along the Olympic-daero on your way to Gangseo-gu. The ever-changing seasonal scenery is one of the Hangang Cycling Trail’s greatest attractions, as stunningly lit bridges, bright car headlights and twinkling street lamps all lend a special romance to your journey.YEOUIDO HANGANG PARK: 330, Yeouidong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu; 82-(0)2-3780-0561~5; GANGSEO MARSH ECOLOGICAL PARK: 279-23 Yangcheon-ro 27-gil; Gangseo-gu; 82-(0)2-3780-0621 PELICANA FRIED CHICKEN: 117, Yeouinaru-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu; 82-(0)2-784-2228; OBEUNAE BBAJIN DAK: 9, Yeouidaebang-ro 67-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu; 82-(0)2-780-5892;
